S.Giorgio Quay

San Giorgio quay has always been dedicated to the handling of the so called "Black bulk", such as coal, pet-coke and anthracite. Here we can also handle steel products, break-bulk pieces and other bulk products related to energy production, such as biomass (woodpellet, PKS and woodchips).
Ponte San Giorgio can berth vessels up to 300 meters length and 32.5 meters width, with a maximum draft of 11,58 meters. Here we deploy two cranes with large unloading capability: a CMI type with 20 tons and a Liebherr 400 with 70 tons capacity, the latter supported by an Ardea de-dusted hopper. They are both connected to a system of conveyor belts that enables us to keep high performance during discharge operations and storage of the material. Both cranes are placed on portals to allow positioning and reloading of trucks.
On the berth and in the storage parks, there are irrigation systems for dust reduction, equipment dedicated to cargo storage, reloading of trucks. With over 2,500 meters of conveyor belts, we can store the products in our deposits.
