Rubattino Quay
It's the quay dedicated to the so called "White Bulk". It has a draft of 8.30 mt.
on the head. Ponte Rubattino is equipped with two Ansaldo
gantry cranes, each with a capacity of 12 tons. The elevators are equipped with dust free buckets and grabs.
The 12 front quay pools for covered storage of goods, placed behind the cranes, allow fast
unloading operations without double handling. Large uncovered areas are available for the
storage of products that are not weather sensitive. There is also an area dedicated to handling
and storage of cement : two silos in sub-concession to Italcementi Group are placed on the head
of the dock , each with capacity of 3,500 tons.
During unloading operations, the cranes can store products directly inside the covered tanks or
load trucks through suitable hoppers for direct trucking to destination
or internal storage to other areas of the Terminal by use of spool-trucks.
